HPC LOCATION BRAUNSCHWEIG

At the Braunschweig location, the Gauss IT Centre is responsible for operating the HPC.NDS system. The Gauss IT Centre is the central IT service center for the Technical University of Braunschweig and also coordinates the Lower Saxony Digital Science Support Space (DS³) consulting network for the HPC.NDS project. As a pioneering IT organization with extensive experience in providing high-performance computing resources and digital support for science, the Gauss IT Centre is ideally positioned to take on a central role in the HPC.NDS network.

With its leadership position in the DS³ network, the Gauss IT Centre brings long-standing expertise in Research Software Engineering (RSE), digital research support, and HPC infrastructure. The close collaboration with other HPC locations and the coordination of consulting services enable a synergistic approach that combines the strengths of individual locations and provides scientists with comprehensive, high-quality HPC services.

By linking powerful hardware infrastructure with specialized expertise, the Gauss IT Centre supports researchers throughout Lower Saxony in the optimal use of modern computing technologies. This combination of technical excellence and research-oriented service makes the Gauss IT Centre a driving force for innovation in high-performance computing and Digital Science in the Braunschweig region and beyond.
