HPC LOCATION HANNOVER

At the Hannover location, LUIS – Leibniz University IT Service – takes responsibility for operating the HPC.NDS system. LUIS is the central IT service provider for Leibniz University Hannover and is responsible for providing and operating the university’s IT infrastructure for research, teaching, and administration. With extensive experience in managing complex computing environments and supporting scientific workflows, LUIS is ideally positioned to provide modern HPC resources in the context of HPC.NDS.

As the central IT organization of one of Germany’s largest research universities, LUIS has deep expertise in high-performance computing, system administration, and research infrastructure. LUIS’s participation in the HPC.NDS project enables it to bring its long-standing experience in providing high-performance IT systems into a statewide HPC network, making a significant contribution to strengthening scientific research in Lower Saxony.

Through collaboration with other HPC locations and integration into the DS³ structure, LUIS ensures reliable and efficient HPC supply for the scientific community in the Hannover region, supporting cutting-edge research and innovative applications across various scientific disciplines.
